Yundi, the first prize winner of the Chopin Competition in 2000 and one of the most acclaimed pianists of our time, released "Chopin: Piano Concerto" in 2020, in which Yundi played with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra for the first time. The music is powerful and speedy, but the flow of the music is gentle and sweet to the touch, revealing a new expression of Yundi's. With this Mozart, Yundi proves that the music Chopin really loved was Mozart. Chopin's deathbed whisper, "Play Mozart in memory of me," best describes the essence of Mozart's music. The piano will tell the story of the sonata in A major with the famous Turkish March, two sonatas in minor, and a fantasy in C minor, along with those pieces, while overlaying the fast-moving music. There is none of the recent novelty, freedom, and flamboyant performance of music that can instantly surprise you. Originally, Jundi is not the type of musician who "plays with extreme skill and gusto," but rather, he "goes deep into the music and tells a poetic story while valuing the lyrical nature of the music. Even in this Mozart piece, he seems to weave out each and every note, making the listener listen slowly and deeply. It may sound cold and harsh. However, the touch of the slow tempo is warm, each note is marvelously clear and airy, and the melodic dialogues are exquisitely spaced. You will feel that the Mozart there is "so lonely and so beautiful. The video was recorded in the Great Hall of the International Mozarteum Foundation in Salzburg, which has the same breathtaking acoustics as the CD recording.
