Debut of the Hanson Quartet, a young and upcoming quartet! The Hanson Quartet, formed in 2013, presents their first CD of Haydn. The beautiful and lush tone of the music is unintentionally surprising, and the dialogue has a depth that can only be achieved by those who have mastered the essence of the work. The Hanson Quartet was formed in 2013 with the advice of Hat Bayerle (European Academy of Chamber Music), the Ebène Quartet, and Jean Schlemm. The multi-talented ensemble performs Haydn's string quartets as its mainstay, but also works by contemporary composers such as Toshio Hosokawa, Wolfgang Rihm, and Matthias Pincher. The ensemble has been recognized around the world, winning the second prize at the Geneva International Music Competition in 2016 and the second prize at the Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition in the same year (as well as the Haydn Prize, the Audience Prize, and the Best Performance of a 20th Century Work). The title ALL SHALL NOT DIE is a Latin phrase that Haydn once quoted (Non omnismoriar), meaning that not everything dies.These are truly Haydn's works that still resonate as a lively dialogue.
