Brian Auger himself produced and arranged all the songs on this album, which also features cover songs such as Al Jarreau's 'Spirit', 'Lock All The Gates', TRAFFIC's 'No Time To Live', Milton Nascimento's 'Nothing Will Be As It Was' and many more. It Was', a self cover of BRIAN AUGER'S OBLIVION EXPRESS' "Future Pilot", and an original song "Git Up" are also included. The master was newly remastered from the original master tape.Julie's mournful and soulful singing and Brian's fluent keyboard playing are a perfect match, and the sound, which seems to have gleaned the best of both British jazz and free soul, is excellent and will appeal to rare groove freaks as well. The album features a Nina Simone cover, 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood,' which slows down the tempo to emphasize the melancholy melody, 'Rope Ladder To The Moon,' a groovy number with a light acoustic guitar cut, and 'Rope Ladder To The Moon,' a tune that is full of flavor and has a great sense of humor. No Time To Live' with its long organ solo, and many other heartbreaking funk/mellow vocal numbers!
