Domestic edition with obi liner, commentary by Hisakazu Kanazawa (Light Mellow) Spent the 70's as a professional songwriter with a brilliant career recorded by ERIC CLAPTON, POCO, CRYSTAL GAYLE, LORETTA LYNN, NITTY GRITTY DIRT BAND, KENNY ROGERS and others. In the 80's he became a full-fledged anthemic 80's AOR/Melodic Rock hero under his own solo name, and in the 90's he evolved into a more acoustic-oriented singer/songwriter style as a member of the country music trio BLACKHAWK, a rare man, Van Stevenson. His second solo album in 1984 features melodic and hard-hitting "MODERN DAY DELILAH," which was a chart hit, "DON'T DO THAT," which could even be called power pop due to its simple repetition, "OTHERS ONLY DREAM," which sings sweetly and sadly, and many more melodic hard/industrial songs. The album contains 10 tracks that are a must-listen for fans of melodic hard/industrial rock.This is an 80's classic album with just the right amount of pop, just the right amount of hard, and just the right amount of bitter. The album is backed by a group of session musicians including bassist DENNIS BELFIELD, who supported AIR SUPPLY and KENNY ROGERS, drummer MIKE BAIRD, who also accompanied JOURNEY, guitarist DANN HUFF of WHITE HEART and GIANT, and ALAN PASQUA of GIANT, who later became a member of the same band. The backing vocals are provided by the "Voice of AOR" BILL CHAMPLIN and TOM KELLY, one half of I-TEN and a supporting member of TOTO. Remastered from the original master tape provided by Universal.
