Third release to commemorate the band's 40th anniversary! Long-awaited reissue coupling "DEADEN THE NERVE Pt. 1" (1990: first CD release) released on cassette from P.M.A RECORDS and "DEADEN THE NERVE Pt. 2" (1992) as a CD EP! The third reissue in a three-month series commemorating the 40th anniversary of ROSEROSE band, "DEADEN THE NERVE Pt. 1" (first time on CD) released in 1990 as a cassette album from P.M.A RECORDS and "DEADEN THE NERVE Pt. 2" (1992) as a CD EP. NERVE Pt. 2", a CD EP released in 1992, and "COMPLETE DEADEN THE NERVE", a complete edition. DEADEN THE NERVE Pt. 1", the next cassette release after "SURROUNDED BY FOES" (1990: cassette), was the first work to approach the death metal style, and this is the first CD release.The sound is the result of the band's pursuit of "just heavy and fast," which was the band's index at the time, and also the result of absorbing the essence of culture other than music, such as horror movies. The vocal style has also changed to a death voice, and the sound effects are effectively arranged to stir up a sense of uneasiness. DEADEN THE NERVE Pt. 2" was released the year after "BRUTALIZE" (1991) as a 4-song CD EP, and features some of the most complex compositions in ROSEROSE's history. The band's twin-guitar configuration creates a thick wall of sound, and the vocals, which have completely evolved into a death voice, roar and scream in all directions, while the drums pound out heavy, rushing beats. The death metal version of the early classic "Holy Terror" is also a masterpiece of perfection. This is the third reissue of this important work that should be called the archive of Japanese death metal.
