Since 2009, he has been playing Vivaldi's bassoon concerto with Ensemble F, an ensemble of Japanese players who graduated from the SCB. Following the Vivaldi albums released in 2014 and 2018, this third volume features selections from Vivaldi's 39 bassoon concertos, and also includes arias for bass with excerpts from operas that are closely related to the bassoon's repertoire. The program includes a selection of Vivaldi's 39 bassoon concertos, and arias for bassoon excerpts from operas closely related to the bassoon repertoire.Dominique Werner, a world-class bass-baritone who won the first prize in the vocal division of the International Bach Competition in Leipzig (2002) and a special prize from the Leipzig Bach Orchestra, and has frequently performed with the Bach Collegium Japan here in Japan, and the leading performers in the world of Japanese classical music. The high quality SACD hybrid multi-channel recording will present a powerful performance by the leading performers in the Japanese ancient music world.
