(The People United Will Never Be Defeated!), which was composed as a song of the United People's Government in the Nueva Cancion (Movement for Social Change through Music) and is still sung around the world today. American composer Frederic Jefsky has created a major work, 36 Variations on "The People United Will Never Be Defeated! The Dutch label Trptk, known for its high-quality recordings that employ the latest technology developed by audio engineer Brendon Heinst, Optimised Omnidirectional Array (OOA) to capture every minute detail, has released an unprecedented SACD recording of this piece. The release of the SACD disc is an unprecedented high quality recording of the same piece! This is a new page in the recording history of this work! The Belarusian pianist Hanna Sibayeva has long communicated with the world through her music and performances.Her decision to perform this piece was an obvious one, and she expresses her feelings about the situation in her homeland, including the 2020 presidential election in Belarus and the Russian invasion of Ukraine that began in 2022 and continues to this day, through music with a strong message. The final variation of the cadenza incorporates some of the songs and music that became symbolic to the people during the protests of the 2020 presidential election, and will appeal to all listeners. This recording was made live at the Sound of Music Festival in Groningen, the Netherlands, in November 2023. This recording is dedicated to all those around the world who stand up and protest against dictatorship and injustice, violence and abuse of power, and who fight for their fundamental rights."
