This fourth collection of Martineau's songs, which he began recording in 2010, completes his oeuvre. Although it is difficult to get a complete picture of Martineau's works, as he left behind a vast body of compositions, his works rooted in Slavic folk songs are very accessible and contain a unique wit in their short pieces. New Slovak Songs," the centerpiece of this album, is a collection of songs of this type, a group of works in which one can enjoy Martineau's word play and melodies. The album also includes the late Romantic "Three Glittering Virgins," an interesting improvisational piece, "Nursery Rhymes," and others.
