Through masterful editing and breathtaking visual beauty, the film portrays people trapped by two “wars” and “memories.” Lead actress Delphine Seyrig won the Best Actress Award at the Venice International Film Festival for her performance in this film. She is a renowned actress known for Alain Resnais’s masterpiece Last Year at Marienbad and Jeanne Dielman, 1080 Brussels, 23 Rue du Commerce, which was ranked number one on the British Film Institute’s 2022 list of “The Greatest Films of All Time.” The original story and screenplay were written by Jean Kerol, who also wrote the screenplay for René’s Night and Fog. This is the first Blu-ray release of the latest 2K restoration, completed in 2015! Includes a booklet with commentary on the film as a bonus feature.
