The news that the trio with Mark Johnson and Joey Barron had been dissolved for a long time came as a surprise to fans of the past, but on "Permutation" with a new rhythm section, Enrico Pieranunzi's lyricism and deep-seated passion explode with beauty intact and vividness. The beauty of Enrico Pieranunzi's lyricism and deepest passions are still intact and burst forth with intensity. It showed the next stage of Enrico Pieranunzi's career and raised new expectations. This album is the follow-up to "Permutation. One song is an original by bassist Scott Corey, and the remaining seven are Pieranunzi originals! In recent years, Pieranunzi himself has said that he is conscious of himself as a composer as well as a performer/pianist, and this album is a true testament to his current state as an artist! The compositions, which reflect the individual personalities of the members who work together, not to mention the sense of melody typical of Italians, are so appealing. Recorded in February 2011.Three years have passed until now, and the months have been spent by the label CAM JAZZ to find the best time to release the album. This is one work that Pieranunzi himself said with a smile during his first visit to Japan in nine years last year (2013), "I have already recorded it, and now I myself am waiting for it to be released. The one and only group representing the 21st century! This trio is truly one to keep an eye on!
