The four-year interval since his last work "The Light" coincides exactly with the Corona disaster. The whole world, regardless of nationality, age, gender, wealth, or poverty, was deprived of "normalcy" and groped for a new everyday life. As she says, "This is a collection of my work taken from that period of my life," many of the songs in the album depict a mood of chaos, vague anxiety, sadness, and resentment. But they are also filled with an equally strong sense of determination and hope. The first song that comes to mind when I hear this may be "Karma," which was released for download last year. Violence in the name of justice abounds on TV and social networking sites. This song, which is a song that touches our exhausted hearts and minds, was actually born six years ago. Music created with sincerity and deep reflection on oneself transcends time. I think everyone has experienced this with a song that is important to them. Kimi to Sora 2022 ver." is a self-cover of her debut song from more than 10 years ago and a song provided by senior artist Yano Maki, but when delivered with Kaoru Miyazaki's current voice and arrangement, I think, "Oh, she is still the same. Growing up, you get lost, you go right and left, and you can't be cool all the time. On the other hand, the humor and looseness of shoulders in "Bumbunshinaide," a collaboration with his friend Kiai, was something that had never been seen in his previous works, and the magnificent world view and overwhelming live performance centered on the UK sound in "Rain" and "Yellow" are something that can only be produced now. The three-year hiatus between his music career was not smooth sailing. Standing still, looking up at the sky, or occasionally stepping back, she continued to write songs without lying to herself, and the fans who love her music and her awkwardness are the only sure steps she has made. That is why the gratitude expressed in the title track "Beautiful" is so tender. Her gaze gradually moves toward the future, and her vocals, which are full of blood in every detail, are both noble and robust. Perhaps Kaoru Miyazaki will never change.Nevertheless, as long as we keep moving forward, new scenery will unfold before our eyes. If I could, I would like to keep looking at that landscape with you.
