TOCCATA's Brahms by Arrangement, Collection 1 condensed the string quintet and clarinet quintet into a string trio (TOCC-66), and this second collection is a project that expands the music with four hands or two pianos into an orchestra. The arrangement is by British composer Robin Holloway. He said that the "Sonata for Two Pianos, Op. 34a" "deserves a symphonic expression for its sheer size, substantial structure, and the ambition and emotional depth of the work," and re-created it as a symphony. Schumann's "Exercises in Canon Form" is a further orchestration of Debussy's arrangement for two pianos. Naxos Japan
