Debut album by Venezuelan-born, Vienna-trained pianist, Walkiria Isaguirre. She chose Beethoven's piano sonatas. By performing one piece from each of Beethoven's early, middle, and late works, the album traces the evolution of Beethoven's style and also pays homage to Beethoven in Isaguirre's own way. No. 6 is a lively sonata that Viennese pianist Paul Badura-Skoda called "one of the most enjoyable of Beethoven's works. It is also an innovative sonata written in three-movement form, lacking a slow movement rather than the traditional four movements. No. 15 is one of the masterpieces of the middle period, called "Rural. It is in D major, the same key as No. 6, but the compositional technique is more skillful, and new attempts are made in terms of harmony. No. 30 is a work from 1820. The first movement is a masterpiece in which several materials are used in a unified manner, and the last movement is in the form of a variation, which is a new innovation not seen in Beethoven's previous piano sonatas.
