30 Years of Mozart by Zeffiro! Zefiro was founded in the summer of 1989 by Alfredo Bernardini, Paolo Grazzi, and Alberto Grazzi, oboists and bassoonists from Italy who had been active in the Netherlands and England, the leading centers of classical music. Zeffiro has a long history as an Italian period instrument group. Since the early days of their career on the Astree (now Naive) label, they have systematically featured Mozart's works on various labels, and now they have come together in a boxed set. In addition to covering most of Mozart's original works for wind ensemble, this comprehensive set also includes an album of Bernardini's arrangements of the "Grand Partita" in the form of an opera for wind ensemble, which was popular at the time, and a collection of concertos in which the three founders of the label serve as soloists.
