[Many Folk Instruments! A connection with traditional Italian music, the "Evening Prayer" as you have never heard it before! Bestion says, "I saw the famous 'Evening Prayer' as a magical ritual that involves an intimate and sacred connection with the pagans. When I was singing in the choir as a child, I had the experience of seeing the strong light of late summer and fall coming all the way into the monastery, and I felt this very strongly. As the leader of La Tempête, he made special choices for this recording, especially with regard to the orchestral composition. He enriched the composition with instruments from different cultural backgrounds, such as a serpan and a chitarrone, as well as two triple harps. In addition, between the pieces, he inserted chants in a falsobordone style taken from a 17th-century manuscript, the author of which is unknown. This makes the recording of Monteverdi's "Evening Prayer" very different in color from what is commonly known. They are strongly influenced by polyphony from Corsica, Sardinia, and Georgia.
