To commemorate the 100th anniversary in 2018 of the birth of the Republic of Poland after the end of World War I, an album of piano pieces from that time to the present day has been released. It is, coincidentally, the golden age of Polish music, with the famous "Menuetto" by Paderewski, who also served as prime minister, and a succession of leading post-Chopin composers such as Szymanowski, Baczewicz, and Gretzky. Mwikyetin is a composer of the new generation who graduated from the Frederic Chopin School of Music in 1997. He delights us with his beautiful and exuberant compositions, skillfully employing rhythmic and harmonic accents. The album also includes a work by Gretzky's son Mikoy, who inherited his father's style but developed it with a distinctive rhythmic element, and a beautiful arrangement for piano by his daughter Roxana of a work for voice and organ by Andrzej Panuchnik, which gives us great expectations for the next 100 years. The album is a promising one for the next 100 years. Anna Chautska, a native of Poland, studied in Warsaw and London, and has won many prizes in competitions and given recitals around the world.
