Metal Church releases their 14th studio album—their first in three years since 2023’s *Congregation of Annihilation*! Founded in 1982 by Kurt Vanderhoof (g) as METALCHURCH, the band debuted with their first album *MetalChurch* in 1984. Despite two hiatuses and many twists and turns, they have established an unshakable status as a leading figure in US metal over the past 44 years. This album, produced following a major lineup change that revitalized the band, is a masterpiece crafted to lead them toward new glory! According to Kurt, “The band was once thought to be dead, but it miraculously came back to life.” Although David Ellefson (b) joined in 2025 to replace Steve Anger, former drummer Stet Howland (ex-W.A.S.P.) and singer Mark Lopez, who had joined the band for the previous album, left in quick succession. The band welcomed seasoned drummer Ken Merry (Fifth Angel, Flotsam and Jetsam, etc.) and former Vicious Rumors singer Brian Allen, resulting in the formation of their strongest lineup yet! The new album produced from this lineup is *Dead To Rights*. Fans who had been eagerly awaiting new material were treated to the previously released “F.A.F.O.”—a fantastic track packed with 100% Metal Church-style ferocity that delighted fans. The album, which was later unveiled in its entirety, features Brian’s powerful vocals—carrying on the legacy of early Metal Church—along with the ultra-tight and aggressive rhythm section provided by new members David and Ken. Of course, the twin guitar work by Kurt and Rick Van Zant is, as always, outstanding. With this super lineup, a highly anticipated album marking a new beginning has arrived!
