CITIZEN's first new album in two years, their fifth album!CITIZEN burst onto the global scene with the release of their debut "Youth" in 2013, and have since released "Everybody Is Going To After breaking onto the international scene with the release of their debut album "Youth" in 2013, they have now released "Everybody Is Going To Heaven" (2015), "As You Please" (2017), and "LIfe In Your Glass World" (2021), and over the years their catalog has blended various elements of post-hardcore, indie rock, shoegaze, and more, reflecting a wealth of musical territory throughout their career. Their catalog reflects a rich musical territory throughout their career, and they are regarded as one of the best rock bands of today.The new album features Ben Russin, known as the drummer of TITLE FIGHT, and guitarist Mason Mercer, and is infused with new energy by producer Rob Schnapf, who has worked with ELLIOTT SMITH and BECK, and like the previous album, breaks away from the traditional sound. As with the previous album, the band has broken away from its traditional sound, returning to elements of 80's new wave and early 2000's dance rock, a return to garage-influenced guitar-driven rock 'n' roll, and a high-energy pop side, with the singalong anthem "If You're Lonely" at the forefront, and passionate songwriting and energetic CITIZEN'S ROCK. The album is a new chapter for CITIZEN, full of energy and passionate songwriting.
