Mexican death metal/grindcore band Brujeria releases their first new album in 7 years! The Spanish vocals are intense, and the band is rumored to feature members of The Haunted, Napalm Death, and others. Originally formed in 1989 by Juan Brujo (Vo), Fantasma (B, Dr, etc.), and Dino Cazares (G) of Fear Factory under the alias of Asesino, the band has since released their first new album in seven years. The band's debut album, "Matando Gueros," released in 1993 on the major Roadrunner label, was a big hit, partly due to the impact of its cover featuring a real severed head. Since then, Brujeria has gone on a number of hiatuses and revivals while moving in a more death metal and groovy direction.Shane Embury (Napalm Death), Jeff Walker (Carcass), Nicholas Barker (Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth), Adrian Erlandsson (At the Gates), and many other prominent members are rumored to have been involved with this band. (Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth), Adrian Erlandsson (At the Gates) and others. (In case you are wondering, they are "unidentified".) Since the band visited Japan for LOUD PARK17, many of you may remember their interesting and brutal stage performance. Brujeria will release a new album for the first time in seven years. The album, titled "Esto Es Brujeria," is a burst of Brujeria's world, in which it is hard to tell where the jokes end and the seriousness begins. The Spanish vocals are also very strong.The band features Patrik Jensen of The Haunted and Witchery on guitar, Anton Reisenegger of the Chilean cult band Pentagram, Shane Embury on bass, and Nicholas Barker on drums! Well, in case you are wondering, the identity of the band is unknown.
