The label is supervised by a variety of guests. Martial Solal's 1965 trio studio recording album "Martial Solal "Trio"" is now available on CD for the first time in the world. Solal's piano playing is brilliant, characterized by unique arrangements and original harmonic interpretations. He himself says, "Even when it is very difficult to play, I have to make it look very easy to the listener. He himself says, "Even when it is very difficult to play, I have to make it look very easy to the listener. His performance will surely captivate not only jazz fans but also many other music lovers. The following is a quote from the liner notes by Koyo Konishi. In his attempts to express in music such words as "dour" and "whimsical," no one to date has been able to match the French jazz pianist's skill. In this album of his early recordings, we can hear the barroom piano stride style, but the harmony is still quirky and new. In other words, he was the Fats Waller of 12-tone music. Thelonious Monk at 200 km/h. Collision and improvisation. In that the nihilism that goes beyond the extreme invites a sense of gut-wrenching, it is reminiscent of Buster Keaton, or even Jean-Luc Godard, who commissioned this pianist to compose the music for his first feature film. You may be imagining esoteric art now, but there is no music more suited to the bustle of a Parisian brasserie. Even the Blue Danube, when played by this man. Born in Algiers in 1927, Solard was introduced to music at an early age by his mother, and began performing professionally at the age of 15.From 1950 he settled in Paris, where he played with American jazz musicians such as Django Reinhardt, Sidney Bechet, and Don Byers, and began recording as a leader in 1953. In 1963, he performed at the Newport Jazz Festival in Rhode Island to great acclaim. Music selection and liner notes by Yasuyo Konishi / Sound arrangement by Nagano Biito / Design by Yusuke YoshinagaBonus tracks include Sous le ciel de Paris "Under the Paris Sky" from Concert A Gaveau Vol. 2, LP. Recorded in Paris on April 7, 1965 "1, 2, 4, 5", April 8, 1965 "3, 6, 7" Commentary: Yasuhiro Konishi
