This is the theme song from the Broadway musical "Carnival" from the collection of film music left on the Ava label in 1963, an early work of arranger Harry Betts, known for his music for the surfing movie "Fantastic Plastic Machines". Ava was the renamed label of "Choreo," founded by Fred Astaire, drummer Jackie Mills, and lyricist and singer Tommy Wolf.AA● The Bill Brown Singers "What's New, Kitten Chan" The Bill Brown Singers / What's New, Pussycat?A collection of film music with the long title released in 1967 by Mainstream Records in the US. It says "Johnny Mandel, Maurice Jarre, Jerry Goldsmith's Orchestra," but the actual arranger is unknown. The Bill Brown Singers sang eight of these songs, and this "What's the Good Thing About Kitten Chan" is a buried gem. This analog, much better sounding than the original recording!
