＜The 23rd in the "60's GARAGE ROCKIN' OLDAYS" series of reissues in conjunction with the "60's GARAGE DISK GUIDE" presented by All Days Records under the supervision of Jimmy Masuko. Link Wray is a rock guitarist of such importance that he needs no further introduction. His noisy and disturbing guitar sound is the very essence of rock and roll. However, until the release of "Early Recordings" (CH 6) and "Good Rockin' Tonight" (CH 69) on the British Ace label in 1987, it seems that here in Japan we had not heard or seen his name very often. If you say that you just didn't know about them, that's enough, but the most popular and highly regarded white rock and roll guitarists were brilliant technicians such as Eddie Cochran, Cliff Gallup, James Burton, and so on.However, along with the aforementioned albums, Robert Gordon's first and second albums were also reevaluated in Japan during the neo-rockabilly boom at the end of the 1980s, and along with that, the fame and popularity of Ray's dusky guitar playing seems to have increased rapidly. His guitar playing is not brilliant, but just smells dangerous. The guitar playing is not brilliant, but just smacks of danger, and the phrasing is as bad as a thug with blood on his hands wielding a knife. The peak of this is the recordings from 1962 to 1966, mainly on the Swan label. ～From the commentary by Masuko Jimmy
