Description:

The ultimate Bach performance by a true virtuoso! The most virtuoso Bach player of our time, Perois, performs Bach live in a miraculous way! This new Bach album by the world-famous French virtuoso Judicael Perois is a rare live recording of his performance at the 31st Guitar Festival in Koblenz, Germany. It is a rare album that captures the enthusiasm of a live concert performance on CD, and once again, Judicael's consummate maestro skills are overwhelmingly evident. The Bach works on this CD, especially the lute suites, are all difficult pieces, but Judicael handles them with ease and lets us hear the essence of Baroque music at a very high level. The realism of a live concert is very different from that of a studio recording. We hope you will enjoy this powerful performance to the very end. <Judicaël Perois (guitar) Judichaël Perois, known as a world-class virtuoso born in France, was born in Paris in 1973 and started playing the guitar at the age of 7. At the age of 11, he was selected as the soloist in a concerto by Vivaldi. He studied with Delia Estrada and Raymond Gratien at the Institut National d'Ornay-sous-Pois, graduating with first prize in 1988; in 1994, he graduated from the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris with a performing license; in 1996, he graduated with first prize from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris. In 1997, he won the 15th GFA International Competition in the U.S., the most prestigious competition of its time, with an overwhelming performance. He was acclaimed as a consummate and exceptional artist and went on to build an international career. He has toured the world, giving recitals at the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, the National Music Hall in Taipei, the Theatre of the Republic in Mexico, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, among others. He has released 10 full-length CD recordings, including highly acclaimed collections of works by Bach and Ponce on Naxos and works by Urkuzunov and Bogdanovich on GHA (including world premiere recordings). He is also active as a professor and has received invitations from major universities and conservatoires around the world. Many of his students have won major international competitions, and he has produced many top young guitarists, including Thibaut Garcia.
