Their amorphous live sound blends jazz, post-rock, chill-out, lo-fi beats, and various other elements. Conic Rose is a five-piece instrumental band based in Berlin, Germany. They are a rising star in the crossover scene, having received early praise from club scene luminaries such as Giles Peterson and At Jazz. *wedding* is their second album, self-produced by the core trio of Johannes Altsberger (keyboards), Bertram Bürkert (guitar), and Konstantin Deben (trumpet), following 2023’s *HellerTag*. “twist” features a lyrical trumpet, synths, and electronics layered with restraint over complex rhythms to slowly build a massive swell, while the raw guitar sound revealed at the end is particularly striking; the introspective yet cinematic “lovingparents”; The two singles released alongside the album announcement both maintain an eclectic approach while incorporating ideas distinct from their previous work throughout, breaking new ground. Groovy yet emotional, with a left-field edge, they skillfully fuse jazz, (post) rock, electronica, and dance music to establish a unique worldview.
