Detroit, the city that gave birth to the MC5, the Stooges, and Motown. This is a collection of original songs that take all those genes and cover them in their own unique style. Since its formation in 1994 around vocalist Rachel Nagy and guitarist Mary Ramirez (Mary Cobra), the band has become a unique force in the Detroit garage rock scene. The Detroit Cobras are not only a cover band whose repertoire is mostly 50s and 60s R&B, soul, and rock 'n' roll, but also a band whose songs and artists they respect and love, The reason for this is that they have expressed themselves as their own in a very natural way. This album consists mainly of their four full-length albums and the original cover songs from those albums.Disc 1 contains the original songs from the 4th album, EP, and singles released around the shocking 1st album "Mink Rat Or Rabbit", and Disc 2 also contains the songs covered on the singles and 3rd album, as well as all the original songs from the classic 2nd album "Life, Love And The selection of songs from 50s and 60s R&B and soul, girl groups, Motown, gospel, New Orleans R&B, and even rare dance numbers that are also supported as Northern Soul are all here, and the taste of songs that can be used in today's club scene is outstanding.
