The Welsh diva who made Nancy Sinatra's "Lemon Kisses" a big hit in the UK! Maureen Evans, a female pop singer from Wales, made her debut in 1958 with a cover of Connie Francis' "Stupid Cupid," and in 1962, her cover of Nancy Sinatra's "Like I Do (Lemon Kiss)" became a big hit, reaching No. 3 in the UK charts. This CD release of the only album with that song as its title (from 1963) adds a whopping 13 bonus tracks. With wonderful covers by Casey Linden, Anita Bryant, the Angels, Linda Scott, the Paris Sisters, and others, this release is sure to satisfy all girl-pop fans. Commentary: Yutaka Kimura
