Description:

Following "Live in Paris 1973", a live recording of Damo Suzuki's tenure at CAN, comes a rare live recording from the latter part of CAN's career! Live in Aston 1977", the fifth in CAN's live series, is now available, with liner notes translated by Glen Matlock, formerly of the Sex Pistols. The series is supervised by founding member Irmin Schmidt and producer/engineer René Tiner, who have masterfully restored the rare archival material to the highest quality using modern technology and sensitive work. The album features the band's 1977 performance in Aston, England, with Irmin Schmidt on keyboards & synths, Jaki Liebzeit on drums, Michael Karoly on guitar, Holger Schukai on sampling & sound effects, and the band on bass. Roscoe Gee, who appears for the first time in this series, participates on bass. Glen Matlock, formerly of the Sex Pistols, wrote the liner notes for the album, describing his own experiences at the CAN show. The Japanese edition of the album will include a bilingual translation.
