Description:

Celibidacke's masterpiece and the pinnacle of Bruckner performance! The first LP release of the rare Lisbon live performance! The legendary Lisbon live performance, which was praised as "Celibidacke's masterpiece and the pinnacle of Bruckner performance," has been released as an official CD and first-ever bestseller by Tobu Shoji (former Tobu Land System). ALTUS has released the LP version under license. This is a remarkable gem, produced in limited quantities, in which the superb performance, coveted by connoisseurs, resonates with the true joy of analog. The original master was mastered for LP by ALTUS, carefully cut by Toyo Kasei's skilled engineers, and the lacquered disc was carefully inspected and listened to at King Sekiguchidai Studio.Special attention was paid to the tremendous third and fourth movements, which lasted more than 30 minutes, and we took great pains to ensure that the sound was not distorted even during the long recording time and that the LP's unique playback effects were maximized. One of the options we considered was to switch sides in the middle of the movements, but we decided to record the movements on two discs, one side for each movement, so that the listener can fully appreciate the profound music while being bathed in a continuous flow of the enormous energy that only Celibidacke could deliver. The magic of Celibidacke's music, which unfolds at an ultra-slow tempo beyond the limit, and the sublime divinity of the over 100-minute-long performance will have you bowing down in awe. The Munich Philharmonic Orchestra's tone is also soft and delicate. The Portuguese Embassy of Portugal has provided the necessary support for the discovery, and with the approval of his son, Serge Ioan Celibidacke, and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, this is an extremely valuable and historic recording.
