"Live by the sea, protect the sea, sail the sea - that's Blue Mermaid! About 100 years ago, Japan lost much of its land to submergence due to plate displacement. In order to preserve the land, many cities on the water were built one after another, and soon they became maritime cities. As the number of routes connecting these cities increased, more and more people were needed to protect the safety of the sea. In such an era, two childhood friends, Akeno Misaki and Moeka Chinamoeka, enroll in Yokosuka's Maritime High School together with their friends who share the same goal of becoming blue mermaids. This animated TV animation depicts their cheerful and fun student life. This is an animated TV animation depicting their bright and fun student life.
