The first full-length album under the names of Meadow and Gen Tanabe, the two artists have been working together in recent years to create music together, such as on the Meadow album released in 2022 and on the album by orbe, the unit of Gen Tanabe and haruka nakamura. The two artists, who have been creating sounds together in recent years, created their first collaborative work together. Oita and Yamanashi. In creating this work, Meadow and Gen Tanabe, who have been living and weaving sounds in two different places while feeling close to the mountains and villages, share a common language of "land": the air and atmosphere of the hills, mountains, and land. It has a certain coldness and the warmth of the seasons. Melting snow flowing down the mountains, soft grass swaying in the wind, birds beginning to sing... The sound that gives a sense of texture and materiality, as if cut from the natural landscape of mountain surfaces, layers of soil, and swaying patterns on the surface of water, flows and drifts pleasantly. The two musicians work together to create, arrange, and perform all of the music, and sometimes record their own ideas and sounds on the spot. While each of them shows their individuality, a new world view spreads endlessly.Following the release of the EP "Two Lands#1", which was only available for download, the full album "Two Lands" will be released in physical format on February 17, 2024. We hope it will resonate comfortably in each land, each season, each time, each wind, each temperature.
