This is the culmination of the activities of a leading performer who has freely manipulated three types of ancient Japanese musical instruments, the ryubue (dragon flute), nohkan (noh flute), and shinobue (bamboo flute), and who has pioneered the boundless realm of the "yokobue" as a solo instrument. The time art constructed by combining works written for Akao by contemporary composers such as Shigeaki Saegusa, traditional Kagura (Shinto music and dance) from various regions, and Akao's own compositions is truly "Michiko Akao's World" that nothing else can achieve.
