SOLEDRIVER, a new melodic rock project featuring Michael Sweet (STRYPER) and Alessandro Del Vecchio, two of the most talented musicians in the world of melodic rock, makes its debut. The name alone should be enough to excite the anticipation of many fans, as this is a project centered on two people who no longer need to be explained. This melodic rock work, in which Michael sings with clear and powerful vocals over Del Vecchio's melancholy melodies, is a work of quality that definitely lives up to expectations. I've always been a metalhead at heart, but I love melodic "song" music just as much as metal. I'm proud to say that I listened to Loverboy, Toto, Foreigner, Survivor, Journey, and many others as much as I listened to Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. It made me who I am today. It made me who I am today.So I've always wanted to make an album that would take me back to that time! Michael says of this work. Alessandro Del Vecchio, on the other hand, added, "One of the cool things about working with Michael on this album was that he asked me to play all the guitars on the album. It's something I usually never do, but he thought I captured the essence of these songs. So here is the first time I get to showcase the guitar parts that were in my head when I was writing these songs. I feel very honored to have teamed up with Michael. Because we share the same love of making great sounding albums, and because he is a perfectionist who never gives less than 100% and always aims to exceed his own limits," he says confidently.
