VivaOla, a next-generation artist with a global sensibility, has completed her first self-produced album! VivaOla is a 22 year old college student R&B artist from Tokyo, Japan, currently based in Boston, U.S.A. Her sound is influenced by modern jazz of the 50s and 60s, R&B of the 70s and 80s, and neo-soul of the 2000s, while mixing English lyrics with Japanese poetry. He is also active in the music and art collective "Solgasa" with Wez Atlas, with whom he collaborated on "Tokyo Syndrome," as well as Michel Ko and Tommi Crane. This album stands out in terms of mixing and sound selection, with a rich variety of expression in all the songs. The album is a good combination of the track maker's sensibility and the multi-instrumentalist's, and it is a unique expression of VivaOla.Including "Ever After All," his first solo song and a "SONAR TRAX" selection by J-WAVE's "SONAR MUSIC," the album features seven tracks of pop music with an eye on global trends and an affinity for the recent Japanese R&B/SOUL scene.
