Description:
The debut CD, titled Reflections, features Korean pianist Yoo-Kyung Chi, who graduated from university in Seoul and began studying in Hanover in 2012. In 2015, she won three special prizes at the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition (no first prize that year). On this first CD, in addition to works by Ravel, Messiaen, and Takemitsu, she also includes a 1985 work by 20th century German composer Berthold Hummel (1925-2002) and a prelude by fellow composer Choi Woo-jung. In particular, Choi's Prelude No. 25, as the title "Mirror in the Water" suggests, is beautiful with its vivid sparkles. Tobu Land System
