Christian Järvi completes the Tchaikovsky Trilogy! Following two dramatic symphony versions of "Swan Lake" and "The Sleeping Beauty," both of which were selected and arranged by Christian Järvi himself, "The Nutcracker" completes the trilogy of Tchaikovsky ballets. The Nutcracker is a fresh and imaginative work that captures the full color and drama of Tchaikovsky's theater music. Christian Järvi has selected and reconstructed the music from the original score and added new transitions within the framework of the one-hour performance. For example, "Welcome to Wonderland," the opening piece, uses the motive from "The Magic Castle in the Land of Sweets," and carefully leads the listener into the beautiful winter world of the Nutcracker. Some movements remain unchanged from the original, while others, such as "Grandfather's Dance," are effectively reorganized with wonderful musical material, but shortened to emphasize the most important and beautiful parts.The "Baltic Sea Philharmonic," of which Christian is the musical director, is based on the Baltic Sea Youth Philharmonic, which was established in 2008 to train young musicians, and brings together musicians from top orchestras in ten countries in the Baltic Sea region, including Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia The Baltic Youth Philharmonic brings together musicians from top orchestras in ten countries in the Baltic Sea region, including Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia, and Sweden, and has gained a great reputation under the enthusiastic leadership of Christians.
