Luca Faurici makes his Sonny Classical debut with virtuosity and songfulness. Luca Faurissi makes his authentic debut on the Sony Classical label. Faurissi, whose father is the founder of the flute maker Forisi, began playing the violin at the age of three and studied under the master violinist Boris Belkin. His beautiful sound and technique are so fresh that it is no wonder that he made his debut on a major label. Her debut album is a gorgeous collection of operatic arias arranged by violin virtuosos such as Auer, Kohanski, and Zimbalist. It also includes Faurici's own arrangement of "La Traviata. Faurissi's father, a native of Sicily, loved opera, and since the family lived near the Bastille Opera, opera was like flesh and blood for the young Faurissi. Of his choice of operatic arias, Faurissi says: "For my debut disc, I wanted to choose pieces that were related to the opera that inspired me to choose the violin and connect with the rest of the world. It's a bit of an autobiography about my origins and family origins. I can't stand on stage and sing it myself, but at least I can sing it on my violin." (The artist, who is also a member of the band, is a member of the band's board.Faurissi's collaboration with Itamar Golan, who accompanied his mother on the Vengerov CDs she listened to as a baby, is another happy occasion for Faurissi, as it reminds him of his musical ties to the world. The idea for this album came to me when I was studying at the Menuhin Academy in Switzerland, but the Corona disaster ruined all my plans. We had to find a new pianist, but Itamar Golan agreed to play with us because his schedule was also free due to Corona. My mother loved listening to Maxim Vengerov's albums when she was pregnant with me, so what a fortunate coincidence that 19 years later, we were able to work with Itamar Golan, who played with Vengerov on this recording! He is an artist who tries to share beautiful moments of music without preconceived notions. I learned a lot, sometimes just by watching him play. It was a real pleasure!
