＜John Cage "Cheap Imitation" was reinterpreted by Erik Satie by the master of avant-garde music, John Cage, He began composing in earnest in the 1930s under the tutelage of the contemporary musician Schoenberg. Although many of his early works were based on Schoenberg's sound rows and rhythms, he soon became the focus of worldwide attention by adopting eccentric performance techniques such as "4 minutes 33 seconds," a piece composed entirely of prepared piano and environmental sounds, which caused a controversy. This recording was made in March 1976 at the Center for Contemporary Music at Mills College in Oakland, and features Cage himself performing solo on one piano. The concept is that he reconstructed Erik Satie's music using oriental divination, replacing it with deconstructions - 64 patterns, alternating between the simple sounds of the piano and exquisite space. 1977 work; limited release on 180g purple vinyl; available in a limited edition of 180g purple vinyl.
