Australian progressive metal band CALIGULA'S HORSE has been growing as a progressive metal band with intelligence, passion, and solid skills since their formation in Brisbane, Australia in 2011. Formed in Brisbane, Australia in 2011, CALIGULA'S HORSE has continued to grow as a progressive metal band with intelligence, passion, and solid skills with their debut "Moments from Ephemeral City" (2011), second album "The Tide, the Thief & River's End" (2013), third album "Bloom (2015), and has consistently released ambitious works that bear witness to a high level of competence and evolution. After that, the band began its vigorous activities in earnest, touring with top-runner bands such as MASTODON, OPETH, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, TESSERACT, and ANATHEMA, and even crossing the ocean to play shows in Europe and North America. Then came the release of their last album, "In Contact" (2017), an important work for the band with an improved sound production. The album, which was released in 2017, was an important work for the band with its improved sound production and the 15-minute epic "Grave," which is a superbly developed piece of music that convinced the audience that the band had reached the next level, reaching #50 on the ARIA chart in Australia.Three years have passed since then, and the new album "Rise Radiant" is finally available to us. The theme of this new album is "overcoming adversity and conflict," and each member has taken on the challenge of understanding the meaning and structure of the songs more deeply and connecting with them more strongly. The members of the group have taken a completely different approach to this album than they have in the past, and each song has its own unique color and brilliance as a result of their thorough understanding and expression of what the song is asking for. The addition of Josh and Adrian, who have joined the band since the last album, has given the band the freedom to express themselves without compromising their technical skills. Jim's more expressive, commanding vocals and charisma, as well as his excellent twin guitar work, bring the songs to new heights. Rise Radiant" is a supreme progressive metal album that surpasses its predecessor by strongly uniting all five abilities. Caligula's Horse is a band to keep an eye on, and we can look forward to their future activities.
