The silky, sometimes soulful lyrics spun by Gervas are as poignant as ever. The raw textures based on Garbus' drum loops and rhythmic construction are reminiscent of early Bird-Brains and Whokill, and the more minimalist approach taken without a full drum kit allows the tight, quirky bass by Nate Brenner to stand out, and the overall groove, bringing a sophisticated freshness to the track.
