Jakub Orlinski, a newcomer in the world of countertenor, makes his debut album for Elate! Born in Warsaw in 1990, he began his musical career with the male chorus "Gregorianum", graduated from the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music, and studied theater at the Alexander Szerwelowicz Academy. Highly acclaimed for her performances organized by the Chopin Academy of Music, she became a member of the Opera Academy of the Warsaw Grand Theatre (Polish National Opera).She studied at the Juilliard School from 2015-2017, during which she won the Marcella Sembrich International Vocal Competition in 2015 and the 2016 She won the National Council Auditions at the Metropolitan Opera. The New York Times praised her singing for its "beauty of tone and unity of color."Soon after, word spread about the excellence of his singing, and as of 2018 he has appeared in various concerts, operas, and music festivals to great acclaim. His rendition of "Vivaldi: Meet me with joy" has been viewed more than 2 million times on YouTube and has become a hot topic. Baroque music is written with freedom and passion. There are many rules of style to follow, but so many choices. There are many different ways to go about it, but we start with ornaments. Using a variety of ornamental tones can show creativity, go deeper into the piece, and show its artistic character. I have danced since childhood and have always listened to music on headphones, even while traveling. So from a very young age I had many dreams of recording music. It was a great motivational kick. I agreed with the ideas of many great performers and wanted to be part of them.That's why we made an album as special as theirs. But this dreamy album is a slightly different idea," said Orlinski. This debut album for Erato is a program of mostly unknown works, including many world premiere recordings of the Neapolitan school of music.
