He was the first harpsichordist to be selected as a BBC Radio 3 "New Generation Artist," the winner of the Borletti-Buitoni Foundation Award, the 2014 Royal Philharmonic Society Award for "Instrumentalist of the Year" and the 2014 Gramophone Award for " In 2015, he was named BBC Music Magazine's "Newcomer of the Year," and in 2015 and again in 2017, he was named the Gramophone Award's " Artist of the Year" nominations in 2015 and 2017. Previous releases of Bach's works have also received tremendous critical acclaim, including Record Arts "Special Mention", BBC Music Magazine "Instrumental Choice", Gramophone Magazine "Editor's Choice", and a nomination for the ICMA (International Classical Music Awards) 2019. The group has been nominated for the ICMA (International Classical Music Awards) 2019.This is the first concerto recording by Mahan Esfahani (accompanied by the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and Alexander Liepreich, who is making his Hyperion debut. Liepreich just visited Japan in October 2022). is a great example of the breadth of Esfahani's repertoire, which focuses on the Czech masters of the last century.
