The fourth installment of the Bruckner Symphony Recording Series, featuring the Gewandhaus Orchestra, a stronghold of the German musical tradition, and the talented Kapellmeister, features the unfinished masterpieces, Symphonies No. 9 and No. 6, and the coupling of Wagner's "Parsifal" Prelude and Siegfried Pastorale. 3 works in all. The talented conductor Nelsons is in the groove, with a recording of the complete Shostakovich symphonies with the Grammy-winning Boston Symphony Orchestra underway.
