The movie is set in Seattle in the early 90s, the birthplace of grunge rock, and directed by Cameron Crowe, who has a deep knowledge of music, the movie is filled with the passion of grunge of the time, featuring Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, and more. The soundtrack was also a hot topic. On the other hand, it is said that this soundtrack ignited the popularity of grunge. Twenty-five years after the film's release, the soundtrack is now available in a deluxe edition. The bonus disc includes the song "Touch Me I'm Dick," sung by the band Citizen Dick, and 18 other songs related to the film (including previously unreleased songs that have never been released on CD).
