Description:

A supreme masterpiece accompanied by Sanderling & the Berlin Symphony Orchestra in the highest sound quality! Exemplary performance of Rachmaninoff on two discs. The best sound quality in the heyday of the analog recording era. World's first SACD release! Mastered only in the analog domain and converted directly to DSD! This is the 19th SACD hybridization of the latest reissue project of ETERNA's original analog tapes in Japan. The two-disc set includes the complete Rachmaninoff piano concertos and the Paganini rhapsodies by Peter Rösel. The long-awaited SACD release of the supreme Rachmaninoff, which is highly regarded as one of Lösel's most representative recordings along with Beethoven and other Austro-German music! The backup of Sanderling and the Berlin Symphony Orchestra is of such high quality that it can be said that they are the ideal accompaniment for these pieces, and their performance is as expressive as the piano. The performance is as expressive and expressive as the piano, and the conducting by Sanderling, who is arguably the best accompaniment conductor in the world, is also remarkable.Peter Rösel (1945.2.2-) won the 6th prize at the 3rd International Tchaikovsky Competition in 1966, followed by the 2nd prize at the Montreal International Piano Competition in 1968. In 1968, he won the second prize at the Montreal International Piano Competition. In 2007, he visited Japan for the first time in 30 years, and since then he has frequently visited Japan, and as you know, he has gained a lot of support as a pianist with whom he has a close relationship. Born in Dresden, Lösel is a pianist of the Doyle school and has performed a lot of Beethoven's works, especially in Japan, and is highly acclaimed mainly for Austro-German music. He is also highly regarded as a pianist with a deep knowledge of Russian music. This collection is also known for its musicality without technicality, and is perhaps one of the most enjoyable recordings of Rachmaninoff's music throughout the entire cycle. The melodies are full of emotion, and the articulation is based on a thorough understanding of the structure of the music, resulting in a high quality, stable, and authentic performance of Rachmaninoff's music. The music is rooted in the dark Russian landscapes, and at the same time, it evokes a sense of temperature. The quality of the recordings is said to have been enhanced by the fact that the sessions could be recorded over a longer period of time because the recordings were not released for profit in East Germany at that time (Deutsche Schallplatten was a state-owned company until 1989). The fact that this is a rare recording in this day and age is also a factor that enhances the quality of this masterpiece. The new high quality sound has made it possible to see even more details. Although the performance was originally highly acclaimed, it is expected to be reappraised even more. The master tape has been well preserved, and the sound quality is so clear that it seems as if a veil has just been lifted. Please confirm the best sound quality of the heyday of the analog recording era. (1/2)
