A collection of cantatas by Carlo Agostino Badia, one of the many Italian musicians who made their fortune at the Viennese court. hired as a composer in 1964, Badia served Emperor Leopold I and Joseph I for 44 years, producing a large number of cantatas, melodramas, and oratorios, He was highly regarded at the Austrian court. The secular cantatas on this album (from the collection "Tributi Armonici" published in Nuremberg in 1699) represent a transition from the traditional style (especially the Venetian style) to the new 18th century style, and are performed by the Accompanied by the Roma Barroca Ensemble and the flexible voice of the famous soprano Raffaella Milanesi, it will be brought back to life in the modern age.
