The Bechstein piano was a patron of the Nazi party during the last World War, and after the war it was politically avoided rather than being attractive for its own sake, but it still has its own unique charm, and there are many people who are passionate about it from a purely musical standpoint. The Bechstein piano (B-212) and the Wirthner organ are a feast for the ears, and MDG's masterful recording clearly captures the flavor of the instruments, making this a fascinating listen. MDG
