A must-see for brass band fans! A wealth of melodies by Saint-Saens, who will celebrate the 100th anniversary of his death in 2021. He was a composer who, despite witnessing the transition from Romanticism to Impressionism, never abandoned his classical style and continued to create beautiful melodies fused with oriental atmospheres until his later years. He wrote a vast amount of music in a variety of genres, including symphonies, concertos, and chamber music, but unfortunately, his only work for wind band is "East and West. However, later arrangers, fascinated by his melodies, have arranged some of his masterpieces and created wonderful wind band works. The works, such as "Dances of the Maidens of Dagon" by Daniel Godfrey, known as a famous arranger, and the ballet music of the opera "Henry VIII" by Louis-Philippe Laurendeau, are colored with magnificent sounds that surpass the original works, and will be performed by the Royal Air Force College Band under the direction of quasi-mercule conductor The Royal Air Force College Band, under the direction of Quasi-Merkle, will perform these works.
