It is both accessible and profound. Glazunov poured his heart and soul into his ballet music, which is a treasure for beginners and enthusiasts alike. His masterpiece, "The Four Seasons," depicts anthropomorphic scenes of spring, summer, fall, and winter, and is appropriately a treasure trove of colorful orchestrations and melodies. On the other hand, "Scenes from the Ballet" has no specific image, but the characterization of each piece is even more brilliant. The fifth piece, "Pa Daxion," is especially wonderful. The way the strings and woodwinds intertwine with the harp's dispersed chords and build up the excitement is "the royal road to great music.
