Hideki Kawamura's first album in 5 years since "PLAY BALLADS" is 7 songs mixing originals and standards. Seven songs interweaving originals and standards. 4 years in the making, the quartet members have been on the trail of their wholehearted commitment. Hideki Kawamura is a leading tenor saxophonist in the jazz orthodoxy. His last two albums were all based on standards, but this album features four original compositions, which shows his ambition as well as his compositional ability. The songs are all very melodious and beautiful, and they burn in people's ears. The trumpeter Mirai Hirose also praises his work. His music is definitely in the jazz tradition, not the current jazz fad. This time, the regular quartet, which has been recording for four years, is joined by young talents Yugo Nagata on piano and Kei Morishita on drums, as well as an old friend of the same generation, bassist Kei Morishita, on drums. This is an ambitious work with an old friend of the same generation, bassist Kosuke Inoue. We hope you will listen to it.
