The People’S Workshop

Description:

The collegiate music that has been raging in the collector's market in recent years, and this is one of the most treasured items among them, now available on silver disc! The People's Workshop is a platform for the musical arts, led by Professor Howard Harris at T.S.U. (Texas Southern University), a prestigious black college in Houston, Texas. T.S.U. is immediately associated with the TSU Toronades, creators of ""Tighten Up"". Houston is also known as one of the best music cities in the U.S., and is a mecca for soul funk, having produced many fan favorite records such as the Cashmere Stage Band, which started the student band trend, and Mickey & the Soul Generation, which is synonymous with Texas funk. The show contest, which is also the stage for their longtime activities rooted in the local community, is a gateway to success, and even Beyoncé competed in the contest when she was a child. This is a 1982 project that includes a variety of songs in the form of a World's Fair. The rarity of the analog masters and the academic style of the album make it seem like a collector's item, but it is an orthodox album with a strong emphasis on mediums and slower songs. The song melody TR-1, with a jazz-funk manner reminiscent of Roy Ayers, is outstanding from the outset. The medium TR-2, with its saudade feel, completely knocks out all the modern soul and free soul sound enthusiasts. The rest of the tracks are a slow soul experience, from the ragga-flavored TR-3, Sesame Street-inspired TR-5, and jazzy TR-7 two-step, to the authentic sweet TR-6, which would make any chorus group look good, and TR-9, where a female vocalist sings with a kid's chorus. On the dance side, TR-4, selected for Al Kent's "Disco Demands," and the tricky and breathtaking TR-8 are also included, along with a superb deep disco track. These nine tracks make this an exhibition of rare soul. If they were cut as singles, all of them would be plug sides! This unique collection of songs is a must have and a must have for even the most hardcore soul fanatics who just can't get enough of ordinary soul!
